How to Make Sausage Gravy Stuffed Biscuits

This dish is super easy to make with only a few simple ingredients. In a large skillet, brown sausage over medium-high heat, breaking into small chunks until no longer pink. Remove from the skillet and drain excess grease. In the same pan, melt butter. Whisk in all-purpose flour and whisk constantly for one minute. Gradually whisk in whole milk, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a boil, whisking constantly; cook until it starts to thicken, about 5-10 minutes. Remove the skillet from the heat. Stir in the cooked sausage pieces and set aside to cool.

Open a can of refrigerated biscuits. Separate biscuit dough into 10 biscuits. Using a rolling pin, roll biscuits into a large circle. Firmly press dough in the bottom and up the side of each muffin cup.

Spoon the gravy mixture into the biscuit cups. Bake in a preheated oven until the biscuits are golden brown. Garnish with dried parsley.

What to Serve with Sausage Gravy Biscuit Cups

These biscuits have quickly become a family favorite. Kids and adults gobble them up! They are great for breakfast or brunch and the perfect portable breakfast treat for those early-morning tailgates! I’m always thinking about football! LOL!

When you’ve got these biscuits on the menu, you’ll want to round out the meal with a few simple yet satisfying sides that complement the rich flavors.

  • A fresh fruit salad is a great choice, offering a bright contrast with its juicy sweetness, while scrambled eggs bring a bit of extra protein and a soft, fluffy texture to the table.
  • If you’re in the mood for something a bit more indulgent, a side of cheesy grits or home fries offers a comforting, Southern-style touch that pairs beautifully with the biscuits.
  • To round out the meal, consider a light green salad with a tangy vinaigrette to cut through the richness, or for a truly indulgent brunch, serve with a mimosa or a hot cup of coffee to wash it all down.

These pairings will turn these biscuits into a well-rounded, satisfying feast. Looking for more easy breakfast recipes? Here are some popular recipes from the website:
